• From the opening bell, it was a lively fight in front of a lively crowd, and in the end, Jose Ramirez left Fresno, California, still holding the WBC junior welterweight title.
• Ramirez dropped Orozco in the fourth round on a right hand to the head, then again on a left hook to the body in the eighth. But Orozco kept himself in the fight, surviving both of those rounds and even fighting back both times, and was never completely out of things.
• That said, the scores were all the same, and were clear: 119-107 across the board for Ramirez, who deserved the victory without question and proved again he’s got legitimate star potential in the sport. [1]
