"Middleweight champion Tony Zale of Gary, Ind., today boasted a 6th round TKO victory over Deacon Logan of St. Louis. The bout was scheduled to go 10 rounds last night but was called short by referee Alex Fidler when Logan slipped on a hole in the ring floor and fell, spraining his shoulder. Zale was well ahead on points at the time. His 160 lb. title was not at stake." -International News Service
