The New Yorker knew his unanimous decision over the Mexican in a 10 round nationally televised bout hadn't been a crowd-pleaser. After Ryff was cut in the 4th round, he became cautious for a couple of rounds. Then he reverted to form and rushed in with both fists flying to earn a substantial edge. Ryff was wild and ineffective much of the time, but Vasquez didn't hit hard enough to offset his persistent drive." -Associated Press
