Sandy Saddler 129 lbs lost to Del Flanagan 133 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

"Del Flanagan, 132 3/4, of St. Paul scored an upset tonight when he pounded out a unanimous 10-round decision over featherweight champion Sandy Saddler, 128 3/4, in a non-title fight that was a roughhouse all the way. A 2-1 underdog at ringtime, the little-known Flanagan won the verdict in a battle that would have made the Marquis of Queensbury writhe in anguish. Saddler and Flanagan made up their own rules as they went along and it included everything from butting to wrestling, hitting on the break and a few other tactics not mentioned in polite circles. The 10th was Flanagan's best round as he wound up with a blistering attack that buckled Saddler's knees twice. There was, however, no knockdowns in a battle which saw Flanagan punch just a bit harder." -Associated Press
