"Hawaiian fighter Stan Harrington avenged a knockout loss Tuesday night by taking a majority 10-round decision over Eddie Pace of Los Angeles in a wild bout. A crowd of 2,579 was in a constant uproar as the two fighters slugged it out most of the way. Both fighters were cut in Tuesday night's vicious battle. Harrington, 148, came out of the 3rd round with a cut nose after a toe-to-toe brawl for the full three minutes. Pace, 146, landed several shaking lefts below the belt that made both Harrington and the referee unhappy. Pace survived another tough battle in the 5th round, coming out of it with a cut over his right eye and a mouse under the left eye." -Associated Press
