The hope for a European title fight faded for Swedish bantamweight Jan Persson (53,1 kg ) after a 8 round loss to Spanish top man Jose Bisbal.
Bisbal ( 54,8 kg ) proved to be very fast and hardly missed with his long straight lefts and rights. He wasn't moving much and confused the Swede with his stand still tactics. Persson tried time and again to open him up with left jabs without success.
In the last round Persson turned desperately to slugging. Now Bisbal ducked and glided away, again without not moving much. The decision was 2-1.
