On the Liston- Zech card in Stockholm, Edwin Ahlqvist's " German import " Peter Köster of Hamburg outpointed Nigerian Guinea Roger in a 6 round middleweight bout.

The Nigerian was making his European pro debut. He was taken by surprise in the first round by a long sweeping right from Köster and went down for a few seconds. Roger managed to last the fight on his feet but lost clearly on points.

Guinea Roger's mediocre start didn't prevent him from becoming a popular club fighter in Britain who sometimes fough on the Continent. He retired in 1978 with a 13-34- 1 record. He had a KO win over Commomwealth champion Bunny Johnson, giving Johnson his first loss, and even scored a draw in Italy with former Euro light heavyweight champ Piero del Papa.
