Jimmy Young 211 lbs beat Ron Lyle 215 lbs by UD in round 12 of 12

"Jimmy Young put his youth and speed to good advantage in winning a unanimous decision over Ron Lyle in a nationally televised 12-round heavyweight bout Saturday. Youn used hard left jabs and punishing body work to control the fight after an even 1st round. Lyle, 34, is known for his KO punch, but was unable to come up with one against a smoother, quicker opponent. Young showed Lyle a taste of things to come when he opened up with a teasing left jab in the 1st round that grew in fury through the middle rounds. But Lyle punished Young throughout with body punches. Young took command in the 3rd round and the 4th, 5th and 6th went heavily to Young, who began battling on a new front with a two-fisted attack in place of his jabbing tactics. Lyle seemed to catch his second wind in the middle rounds but was unable to find the punch to put Young away." -Associated Press
