Norwegian newspapers felt badly about the fight between home boy Johnny Romsaas and the Aruban Charley Brown. Farces like this could discredit a sport already under severe attacks from doctors and moralists. Brown proved to be another inept and incompetent boxer who idolized Muhammed Ali without posessing any bascis. He danced with some elegance, arms dangling down, poked a left jab now and then into the guard of Romsaas. But when Romsaas threw a simple left hook in the 3rd, Brown collapsed and gave up.

Brown had been recruited from a rather dubious group of various sparring partners for Bo Hogberg in Stockholm.
