"Ring-wise Luis Rodriguez, 150, of Miami, Fla., renewed today his clamor for a title fight with middleweight champion Dick Tiger after outclassing Eddie Pace, 151, of Santa Monica, Calif., by unanimous decision in the feature 10-round fight at the Olympic Auditorium Thursday night. Rodriguez' triumph was his 10th straight this year and since he has despaired of fighting welterweight champion Emile Griffith, the Cuban exile now has his sights set on fighting Nigeria's Dick Tiger. Referee Tommy Hart had considered stopping the fight when Rodriguez opened a deep cut over Pace's left eye in the 3rd, but decided to let it go on to the finish." -Associated Press
