The Dane Hans Jorgen Jacobsen's march toward the European heavyweight top continued with a KO win over Fernand Descamps of Portugal in round 1.
Descamps hit the tall Dane three times on the belt. Jacobsen threw in long right hooks and the Portugese went into a crouch. Another right hook by the ropes dropped Descamps for the full count, " hopeless like a snowman in a sauna, " as wrote Politiken.
Jacobsen now had a 16-1-0 record.
