Redl built up a useful lead over Jones but in the sixth round he was dumped on the canvas by a sizzling right to the chin. Up at "9" Redl was again nabbed by a right uppercut and took another "9" count. Jones put on the pressure but Redl boxed smartly to finish the final rounds evenly and was awarded a draw.
