"Alvin 'Blue' Lewis, 214, opened numerous cuts on the face of veteran heavyweight Cleveland 'Big Cat' Williams, 218, in the 3rd round of a scheduled 10-rounder Wednesday night, decked Williams early in the 4th and pounded the veteran until the referee ruled a TKO. Lewis, 28, took command of the fight in the 3rd round with his jab to the face of Williams, 37, a 19-year ring veteran from Houston, Texas. Lewis, of Detroit, dropped Williams at 1:45 of the 4th round for an eight-count, then punished him again until the fight was stopped at 2:30." -United Press International
