"In the co-featured bout, Cleveland Williams, 226, of Houston, Texas, dropped Ted Gulick of Youngstown with 50 seconds gone in the 10th and final round to gain his 79th victory against 11 losses. It was the first time Gulick, a 200 pound 25 year old, had been knocked down in his pro career. It was his 3rd loss in 18 pro starts. Both fighters fought in close during the first nine rounds, with Gulick holding a slight edge until Williams, 37, uncorked the hard right cross to the head of Gulick in the final round." -United Press International
