Leif Hansen (30),Norwegian welterweight,promoted and fought on this 4 fight card i Oslo's Nordstrandhallen. This was the first pro card in Norway since 1941. His opponent was the veteran Dutchman Frits Van Kempen.It was a rugged fight. Kempen was down in the 1st from a left hook. He responded in the 2nd with hard body punches and had Hansen in trouble with hard right crosses. In the 3rd Hansen went down from a left swing and was up at 9. In the 6th Hansen was down again twice, but each time he fought on with straight lefts and rights. The newspaper Aftenposten considered the drawn 6 round verdict rather unjust.
