"Lightweights Leo Alonzo of the Philippines and Italian Paolo Rosi, fought to a bloody 10 round draw last night. Each suffered a hand injury and X-Rays today will determine if bones are broken. Alonzo came out of the battle with a cut over his right eye near his nose, a cut mouth and a left eye puffed nearly closed. Rosi, who said he thought he broke his left hand in the 2nd round, suffered a gash on his left eyebrow. His nose bled from the 3rd round on. Trailing after the early rounds, Alonzo squared things with a short right hand that sent Rosi to the deck for a count of two in the 6th. That's also when the Italian suffered his cut and Alonzo's right hand was hurt. Rosi, looking the superior boxer, held a lead on all cards after the first five rounds. Then Alonzo slammed out his big round and later, in the 9th, he sent Rosi down again. This time Rosi bounced up immediately, but referee Bybee ruled it a one-count knockdown." -Associated Press
