Watts opened a cut on Palladin's nose in the 2nd round and worked on the wound until referee Tom Kelly summoned the ring physician. The bout was stopped after an examination. Palladin, the No. 10 middleweight contender, lost only for the third time in 27 fights, and two have been at the hands of Watts. They also have fought to a draw." -Associated Press
