    • "Angel Espada scored an impressive 10 round win over tireless Californian Armando Muniz but not before receiving the scare of his life in the 8th round. For seven rounds it was all Espada, boxing well. The fans loved it but in the unexpected reversal of form in the 8th, Armando uncorked a left hook that had Espada on queer street. Luckily for Angel, Muniz was energy sapped from the terrific pace these two boys had maintained and could not put across the KO. Espada grabbed for dear life with the bell coming to his aid. Excellent between rounds help put Espada in shape to take the upper hand in the 9th. The final round saw both boys go at it, looking for a KO victory, but Espada had the upper hand and the unanimous decision as well." -Ring magazine, December 1974 issue
