Both fighters were banged up, with both of Geraldo's eyes badly cut and Muniz' left eye puffed up and his right eye cut. There were no knockdowns, although Muniz appeared to be in trouble in the 6th round and Geraldo was on the verge of going down in the 7th." -United Press International
