The 18 year old from Reynosa, Mexico, scored a spectacular knockout in the 2nd round Thursday night over 4th ranked lightweight Johnny Busso of New York before a hysterical crowd of 10,200 at the Olympic Auditorium. Torres decked the 25 year old Busso twice in the 1st round and twice in the 2nd, the last one for keeps after 41 seconds. A lightning left hook spelled ruin for Busso.
