"Eddie Perkins, 137 1/2, won by TKO when Dr. John H. Probble would not let Chico Rollins, 136 1/2, come out for the 7th round. The decisive blow in the brawl came in the 4th when a right hook by Perkins left a slight cut on Rollins' left eyelid. Thereafter his seconds couldn't stop the flow of blood and, though Perkins said he made no special effort to take advantage of the injury, it grew steadily worse." -United Press International
