Andy Ganigan 135 lbs beat German Cuello 134 lbs by KO at 2:24 in round 9 of 12

"Hawaiian Andy Ganigan knocked out German Cuello, Dominican Republic, with a short left to the head in the 9th round Tuesday night to retain his NABF title. After decking the challenger five times before the knockout, Ganigan finally sealed it at 2:24 of the 9th round. Ganigan won each of the nine rounds in the scheduled 12 rounder. But the long-legged Cuello made a fight of it - back pedaling in the early rounds when in trouble and dragging himself to his feet when the 6,000 fans were certain he would stay down. Cuello went down in the 2nd round from a left hook to the head. In the 3rd round a left to the body floored him. In the 5th, it was a cruncher to the mid-section and in the 8th round he went down twice." -United Press International
