"Jose Urtain, 196, Spain's controversial heavyweight, barged back into the division's world picture today on the strength of a two-round TKO victory over Jack Bodell, 202, of Britain which gave him the European title for the second time. Urtain swarmed in and under Bodell's long reach in the 2nd round and dropped the Briton three times before referee Karl Perpeet halted the bout Friday night at 1:40 of the 2nd round. Urtain dropped Bodell for two eight-counts before sending him to the canvas for the third time with a right to the jaw." -United Press International
