"Sugar Ray Seales of Tacoma, scored his 21st straight pro victory Tuesday night when he stopped David Love of San Diego with just 15 seconds left in their 12 round middleweight fight. The only knockdowns came when Love hit the deck twice in the final 30 seconds. The ringside physician ordered the bout stopped with only 15 seconds on the timer's clock. Seales was the aggressor throughout but both fighters took their lumps. Seales' right eye was nearly swollen shut and Love suffered a split lip and several facial bruises. Love was game throughout but Seales repeatedly beat him to the punch." -United Press International
