"San Diego's Irish Bob Murphy racked up his 36th KO in 41 pro bouts last night with a 4th round TKO over aging Lloyd Marshall, the only man to KO NBA heavyweight champ Ezzard Charles. Murphy, 173, dropped the 34 year old Sacramento Negro with a right cross to the head after 16 seconds of the 4th. The fight was called as Marshall, 170, rolled on the canvas trying to get up." -United Press
