"Robbie Epps had no trouble extending his pro record to 8-0 over Zovek Barajas at the Marina Hotel. There had been some concern that Epps, of Clovis, N.M., might be in over his head in the 8-round 'Strip Fight of the Week' star bout. Those fears were unfounded. A stylish boxer with a crisp, if not overpowering punch, Epps was in command throughout. Barajas, 155, couldn't get inside the 152 pound Epps' reach. Epps had a strong 2nd round. He kept flicking jabs at Barajas' head and followed up with a mixture of body shots, left hooks and right crosses. By the 3rd round, Barajas had a bloody mouth and his efforts to reach over Epps' long lefts were futile. They went head-to-head in round five and Epps was able to fend off most of the hooks thrown by Barajas. Epps finished with a flourish. He landed a barrage of hooks and right hands just before the bell sounded. There were no knockdowns." -The Las Vegas SUN
