Tall and Muhammed Ali- inspired Michel Blinker of Surinam (72,8 kg) found it hard to show his elegance and know-how in the first two rounds as the German middle Dieter Klay (73,3,kg)attacked furiously with desperate left hooks. Blinkers countered with illegitmate blows and was reprimanded by referee Karl Perpeet. Blinker's hits was lucky ones, except for a well placed right hook in the 3rd. The last 3 rounds were dominated by Klay who grew better and more precise as the fight went on.
