"Clyde Gray, Toronto, racked up his 21st win in 22 starts by stopping Frank Steele, Detroit, in seven rounds. For the first four rounds the fight was close. Steele boxed well and landed some good solid blows. In the 5th, Gray's left hook sent Steele's mouthpiece flying and a heavy attack to the body and head by Gray had Frank in trouble. Keeping the attack going in the 6th, Gray had the Detroit fighter in a bad way. Steele, however, refused to go down.
