"Also on the undercard, a brief but wildly entertaining bout ended when Pedro Saiz knocked out Paul Denard in the first round of a scheduled four- round junior-welterweight match.

Referee Steve Smoger counted out Denard at 2:14 of the round.

Moments into the bout, both men fired punches to the face, both landed, and both fell to the canvas in what appeared to be a double knockdown.

Saiz, a southpaw, got up first, scrambled to a neutral corner and waited until his opponent got up, his legs still wobbly.

When the fight resumed, Saiz chased Denard, catching the shaken fighter with a right hook to the jaw that sent him toppling to the floor headfirst."
