Summary
Billy McColl and Tim Murphy, recent claimant to the South African heavyweight title, contested the heavyweight championship of Australia at the Gaiety Hall last night. The contest lasted 11 rounds, and was cyclonic in character, both men fighting fiercely. In the eleventh round, Murphy placed a right on McColl's jaw, and McColl was counted out.
