"Welterweight Ramon Fuentes of Los Angeles matched middleweight Gil Turner punch for punch Friday night in a close quarter duel to hold the favored Philadelphian to a 10 round draw in their return fight at MSG. It was an excellent see-saw fight in which Turner suffered a gashed left brow and Fuentes was cut on the left brow and had an old cut on his nose reopened. There were no knockdowns but Turner's knees were buckled by three 'repeater' left hooks to the head in the 7th round." -United Press
