Anders Haga of Norway won the first two rounds against Belgian Noel Soetens. Left jabs followed by hard rights to the body drove the visitor on the defensive. A left hook to the jaw stunned the Belgian. But in the 3rd, Soetens stopped Haga in his tracks with a hard right. Haga started to slug it out, but in rounds 4-6 he regained his classic stance and secured a points win with fine jabs and rights to the body.
