"Ugandan light heavyweight hopeful Mustapha Wassaja continued his winning ways as a professional by stopping British 175 lb. champion Bunny Johnson, who was retired at the end of the 6th round because of a gash in the corner of his right eye which had been caused by an accidental clash of heads. The southpaw Wassaja showed the effects of a lengthy layoff - it was his first match since May - but never looked like a loser in running his record to 14-0-1.
