"By flattening Don Brouillard of Minneapolis in the 3rd round of a bout scheduled to go 10, California's 29 year old heavyweight, Lou Nova, last night added his eighth straight knockout to a record he hopes will carry him back to Madison Square Garden. Brouillard, the former Minnesota Marine, six years younger and 25 pounds lighter, gave Nova little trouble. For the first two rounds Nova toyed with Brouillard, whose flicking left jabs failed to do any damage, and in the 3rd round dropped him to his knee with a right to the jaw and a left hook.
