"Welterweight contender Jorge Fernandez of Argentina won revenge and the right to a title shot Saturday night by out-punching Cuban Isaac Logart for a lop-sided unanimous 10 round decision in their televised return fight at MSG. Logart was the only man that ever knocked out Fernandez, when they fought at Buenos Aires, Jorge's hometown, on Nov. 29, 1958. Isaac KO'd him that night in the 9th round. Fernandez tried to return the compliment with a KO Saturday but Logart's speedy footwork prevented it, although he was groggy five or six times. There were no knockdowns. Fernandez suffered a cut on his right cheek in the 7th round and his right eye was swollen at the finish." -United Press International
