Rossberg floored Snell once in the sixth round. "Up jumped Doc to bore back in again, but a knockdown is a knockdown. Doc pursued Rossberg at least six or seven furlongs in the earlier rounds. Rossberg fought a retreating fight, but when Doc caught up, showed himself a nasty customer at close quarters. Several times he clipped Doc hard ones to the body and chin, but Doc showered plenty in return." Portland Oregonian.
