Tore Magnussen of Norway outpointed the speedy veteran of Curacao Spider Kid. The muscular visitor went through the 1st round "fast and elusive as quicksilver pearl" according to Aftenposten. He rushed in and out on Magnussen but hardly hit and hurt the Norwegian with any of his windmill blows. Magnussen piled up points with carefully timed counter punches through rounds 2,3 and 4. Series of left-right-left hooks didn't stop the Spider Kid, and at the end of the 6th round there was some uncertainty who would get the verdict.
