The still very promising Norwegian light welter Kristian Hoydahl and Italian loser Nicola D'Orazio (26 losses in 28 fights) engaged in a 8-round bar-room brawl. The Norwegian took standing counts in the 2nd and 7th and was chased around the ring in the last part of this ugly affair. When ring ref Max Strangfeldt of Denmark raised Hoydahl's arm, the crowd at Messehallen booed Hoydahl out of the ring and cheered D'Orazio for many minutes as if the Italian had won a big title.
