"Roberto Duran removed any doubt he was slipping Sunday with an impressive 4th round knockout over Joseph Nsubuga in a nationally televised welterweight contest. The win moved Duran one step close to a million-dollar showdown with Sugar Ray Leonard, the WBC welterweight champion. With seconds left in the 4th round, Duran knocked Nsubuga down with a right cross. The Ugandan, fighting out of Norway, took an eight-count and staggered to his feet. Referee Richard Green checked Nsubuga and stopped it after the bell ending the round. The knockdown was the second time Nsubuga had been to the canvas. In the 2nd round, he went down under a flurry of punches but it was ruled a slip." -Associated Press
