Dempsey was down three times in the 1st, but rallied to score two knockdowns before the end of the round. Burger was then dropped three more times in the 2nd. 10 seconds into the 3rd though, Burger landed a right to the solarpleux that put Dempsey down for the count. This bout was considered one of the greatest fights ever held in Portland.
