"The 22 year old Jimmy Heair had some trouble with Angel Mayoral's southpaw stance in the first few rounds, but once he solved that he breezed home. A hard right cross decked Angel in the 4th round and Jimmy was in complete command from then on as he beat Mayoral to the punch and had built up a wide point margin going into the 9th round. Jimmy came out punching in the 9th, and a barrage of lefts and rights had Angel draped over the ropes, when referee George Latka called a halt after only :29 seconds of the round." -Boxing Illustrated, February 1973 issue
