- "We'll have to wait for that damn thing to heal (Heilman's nose). That'll take four weeks. Then we may try to fight Jose Gonzalez from Puerto Rico." -Jackie McCoy, Heilman's manager
"Middleweight Andy Heilman, his nose already flattened permanently from numerous years in the ring, leaned back in a locker room chair while having two stitches taken in his nose after stopping Billy Marsh in the 7th round of a scheduled 10-round fight at the Coliseum Arena yesterday. Marsh, apparently a glutton for punishment, has fought Heilman twice before and was knocked out both times. Yesterday made it three straight. Marsh finished the bloodbath with a bad cut over his left eye, but in the meantime, put Heilman out of commission for at least four weeks." -The Hayward Daily Review
