- Joe Frazier fought an exhibition on this card against Chuck Leslie.
"Willie Besmanoff, 217, came in as a last minute replacement against Dave Zyglewicz, 190. Willie gave it his all, but was dropped three times and out in the 3rd. Besmanoff went down gasping after Ziggy ripped in a right to the body that seemed to sink in all the way to the backbone. The German got up at nine. He tried to fight back, but Ziggy was tossing bombs from every direction. Willie sank to the canvas again, his nose bleeding profusely. He managed to scramble up at nine, but ran into lefts and rights which again put him down. It was all over for Besmanoff." -Ring Magazine, November 1967 issue
