"Oscar Bonavena, the undefeated heavy from Buenos Aires, won his seventh straight Friday night with a one-sided 10 round decision over Dick Wipperman of Sloan, N.Y. in the main event at MSG. Judges Bill Recht and Joe Armstrong scored it a 10-0 sweep for Bonavena who turned pro only last January. Referee Petey Della had it 8-2 giving the last two rounds to Wipperman. Wipperman opened a cut under Bonavena's right eye in the 9th and made Oscar give ground in the 10th with sharp jabs." -Associated Press
