In the Swedish documentary " There's only one Ingemar " (dir: Tom Alandh, 2005 ), segments of the Schiegl- Johansson fight was included, a 60 second long summary.

Kurt Schiegl of Austria went forward all the time, throwing lefts and rights. Early in the fight he got a cut under his left eye, the result of Ingemar's frequent right hand hits. The cut didn't seem to bleed much and distract the Austrian. The tempo was high through the fight.

It was a surprise to see that Ingemar had other qualities than the famed right. Very often he finished his series with short left hooks that jolted the forward- storming Schiegl's head backwards.

Schiegl seemed to survive the 4 first rounds on his routine. Early on Ingemar drove him into the ropes, but the Austrian danced sideways and tried to keep the fight in the middle of the ring. In the 5th Schiegl simply gave up, dropped his arms and went to his corner, looking dejected.

The Ring,May 1955 reported that Schiegl had injuried his elbow.

Schiegl seemed to belong to the old school of heavyweights who gave the crowd a good, exciting fight, no matter how small the chances of winning were.
