- Location: King's Hall, Belle Vue, Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom
- Referee: Bill Williams
Notes
- On April 21, Spencer was announced as a late replacement for Eduardo Corletti.
- "Thad Spencer pounded out a 10 round decision over former British heavyweight champion Brian London Monday night, opening a cut over the Englishman's left eye and battering him unmercifully in the early going. Spencer, just elevated to the #6 spot in the heavyweight rankings by the WBA, opened a cut in the 5th round and London was dribbling blood the rest of the way. He also was cut under the right eye in the 8th and was staggered by a right hand in the 6th. There were no knockdowns, but Spencer was shaken in the 3rd round." -Associated Press
