"Trenton junior lightweight Sammy Goss opened the local boxing season when he knocked out Carlos Vasquez of San Diego at 53 seconds of the 7th round at the Arena. Goss had trouble with southpaw Vasquez in the early rounds, but came on to drop Vasquez in the 6th round seconds before the bell rang.
