"Dwight Braxton successfully defended his WBC light heavyweight title Saturday night with an 11th round TKO of Eddie Davis. Braxton knocked down Davis for an 8-count in the 1st round and then slugged toe-to-toe with him until he took control in the 9th round. Davis seemed spent at the end of the 10th and was slow getting off his stool for the 11th. Braxton was on him immediately, nailing him with a left-right-left combination that sent him backwards before another combination put him down. Davis staggered to his feet but referee Tony Perez stopped the fight 20 seconds into the round." -United Press International
