This image of George Sidders comes from the August 20, 1929 edition of the LaPresse newspaper of Montreal, QC, Canada. For years (roughly 1928 to 1932) this newspaper included a full-color insert into its Sunday edition. These inserts usually were of popular athletes who had some ties to, or had appeared in, Montreal. Ice hockey players and boxers were common, but people from other sports were featured as well.
