Glenn “Champ” Hendershot was born on January 9, 1928 in Flint, Michigan and started his welterweight boxing career in the Army. Serving in the military police in Manila, Phillipines during WW II. Honorably discharged Glenn continues boxing debuting in 1946 and boxing until 1955. He died in Tampa, Florida on July 20, 2004 at the age of 76.
